The Beaver Local Cross Country team is running to the top this season as the team is showing they are for real this season. Beaver Local senior Luke Warrick continued his success at the Suburban League cross country meet Tuesday at Poland Township Park. Warrick won a Suburban League race for the second straight week, finishing first in the boys 3.1-mile race in 17 minutes, 21 seconds, in leading the Beaver boys to the team title. The Beavers were also able to place three others in the top ten with Mason Boggs finishing fourth (19:25), Abram Rettos at fifth (20:28), and Hank Johns tenth (21:30). The Girls team also had a good race placing two runners in the top five with Shaylynn Dennis at third (25:06) and Georgie Long at fifth (25:24) The Middle School teams also ran with Samantha Williams winning the Girls Division at 12:51. The team will be back in action on Tuesday at Columbiana.
