Beaver Local senior Luke Warrick and Springfield sophomore Alexandria Fiumara won their races in a Suburban League cross country opener Tuesday at East Palestine City Park. Warrick finished the 3.1-mile course in 18 minutes, 21 seconds. He was 1:23 ahead of second-place Christopher Miller of East Liverpool. Beaver Local topped the boys team standings with 49 points, followed by Youngstown Mooney with 58. Fiumara won the girls race in 23:30. Howland led the girls team standings with 33 points.
