The Beaver Local High School Volleyball team traveled to Minerva on Tuesday for a triple header and came home with 2 out of 3 wins. In the freshman match, Beaver Local lost 19-25, 14-25. For the freshman, Maddie Smith led with 3 kills, 6 assists, 2 aces. Kylie Gbur had 2 kills and 7 assists. Sophia Pease added 3 kills. In the JV match, the Beavers won 25-20, 21-25, 25-20. Makayla Jungfleisch helped lead the Beavers with 7 kills, 3 aces, and 13 digs. Jess Layman had 6 kills and 6 digs. Daisy McKnight added 6 kills. Kylie Gbur had 18 assists. In the varsity match, the Beavers swept the Lions in three. Addie Thurik had 19 kills, 10 assists, 2 aces, 7 digs, and 2 blocks. Gianna Congrove had 10 digs. Leah Schrieber had 2 kills, 3 aces, and 12 digs. Lily Schrieber had 13 kills, 10 assists, 2 aces, and 5 digs. Madison Poppelriter had 2 kills and 4 digs. McKinnley Ferry had 12 assists, 4 aces, and 4 digs. Olivia Opalenik had 3 kills. Taylor Pease had 2 aces and 11 digs.
