Junior Peyton Dunn and the Beaver Local girls soccer team provided fireworks in the 2026 season opener Tuesday. Dunn scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, and had two assists as the Beavers blanked Cambridge, 8-0, at Pastore Field. Sophomore Leah Stewart also collected four goals and two assists to round out the scoring. Dunn and Stewart guided Beaver Local to the Division IV state semifinals last season. The Beavers led 3-0 at halftime with Dunn scoring twice. She scored her 100th goal in the second half. Riley Springer, Alexis Lasure and Jansen Ours also had assists. Beaver Local will host Harrison Central on Thursday.
