Beaver Local’s boys golf team finished the first round of the Buckeye 8 Athletic League tournament in fourth place out of 11 schools on Monday at Cadiz Country Club. In the first round, Eli Stewart shot a 76, Brady McNear shot a 79, Britton Hickman shot an 82, Andre Wiegand shot an 84 and Nathan Pusateri shot a 93. St. Clairsville leads by 13 strokes with a 290. East Liverpool shot a 353. The second round of the Buckeye 8 tournament is scheduled for Sept. 1 at Belmont Hills Country Club.
